Welcome to

Galway Solace Café

A comfortable, empathic & safe space to have a chat and feel heard.

Galway Solace Café is a free out-of-hours adult, non-clinical, mental health café that provides peer support to people experiencing a mental health crisis, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or for those who are supporting someone facing a mental health crisis.

Located in the heart of Galway, we are a team of professionals who offer a comfortable, empathic & safe space to have a chat and feel heard.

How does it work?

When you arrive, you are greeted at the door by a member of our team, welcomed and invited in, where you can then choose a space in our café. We provide tea and coffee for free.

Appointments are approx. 45 mins long.

What we do and how to book with us

Galway Solace Café provides support to adults experiencing a mental health crisis,
who may be feeling emotionally overwhelmed and distressed or who are supporting
someone facing mental health challenges.

Our core values are aligned with Sharing the vision: A mental health Policy for Everyone and with the  National Crisis Resolution Services working towards expanding access to community-based mental health support during out-of-hours periods.
Whatever you are going through, our team of peer connectors will provide peer support during your café appointment.
